  • Do not require to produce vaccination certificate upon arrival to Sri Lanka

  • It is strongly recommended to keep the vaccination certificate with the traveller during the stay in Sri Lanka to produce to the medical personnel when and if required.

  • If a traveller shows COVID-19 like symptoms and signs, you may subjected for PCR/RA testing by an authorized medical personnel.

Blessed with lush jungles, rainforests and dry savannahs, Sri Lanka is home to many animals, birds, reptiles and butterflies, many endemic to the island. Asian elephants roam the forests and gather annually in large herds while elusive leopeards are masters of evading being seen. Water buffalo, deer, bear, and crocodile also add to the mix, while sperm whale and blue whale visit the warm waters of Sri Lanka annually.

Sri Lankan people are reknowned for their hospitality and generosity of heart. Regardless of where in the world you come from, you will encounter people all over the island who approach you with a smile and are curious to know about you. Sri Lanka has a variety of food which are all savoured by locals and visitors. Rice and curry is a daily staple in every home. Curries are unique with coconut milk being a main ingredient in most curries along with spices and chillies bringing an explosion of flavour and heat.

Hoppers, stringhoppers, kottu roti, lamprais and buriyani are local street food favourites that are easy to find in small street cafes or restaurants around the island. No matter the time of day or night, there will be a place open serving these delicacies to satiate any hunger.
